Miguel Montesinos did his initial studies at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain), and carried out his master’s thesis at the University of Ghent (Belgium) under the supervision of Pr. Bart Kuyken and co-supervised by Prof. Pablo Sanchis Kilders. Then, he moved to the C2N laboratories in France under the supervision of Pr. Delphine Marris-Morini to work on integrated SiGe waveguides operating in the mid-IR, and successfully demonstrating different building blocks such as supercontinuum generation, electro-optical modulation, or integrated FTIR spectrometer. In 2021 he joined Pr. Jerome Faist’s group at ETH Zurich as a postdoc to continue his career in mid-IR integrated devices and develop high-performance waveguides and laser sources.
