Alvaro Moscoso Mártir (A. Moscoso-Mártir) received the MSc in Telecommunications Engineering from Málaga University (Spain) in 2008. Since this year he is doing his PhD focused on the design of ultra-wideband radiofrequency circuitry in integrated planar technology for six-port receiver. In 2009 he was awarded several scholarships as the FPU and FPDI to carry out his thesis supervised by Prof. I. Molina-Fernandez. He has been a visiting scientist in the group for research into advanced RF/microwave device technologies in the Department of Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering, Heriot-Watt University. As part of his research work, he has collaborated in several projects with AT4wireless and the Junta de Andalucia and his main research activities are: i) design of microwave circuits and components in plastic and LTCC (such us directional couplers, phase shifters, power divider, power detectors, resonators, six-port networks, etc), ii) design of wideband homodyne six-port I/Q receivers, and ii) design of wideband frequency discriminators.
